Peter was an excellent host! He was flexible with the check in and check out times. He waited for us to arrive to give us the keys and explain the apartment. It's one of four apartments in a small building with views of the ocean. There's a security gate to get/out and a small parking area. It's not far from the main road, but it's up a hill so you will definitely benefit from having a car. There are restaurants and a bus stop stop within walking distance but more convenient to drive. There's a small shop very close to get snacks/water. The apartment is spacious and clean. There's a lady who will make up the beds every day and change the sheets and towels every 2-3 days. The terrace overlooks the ocean. There's a big living room with a TV. WiFi worked well. Kitchen has just about everything you need. It's not far from the Takamaka distillery, Anse Royale beach and a number of supermarkets. Excellent value for the price.

I stayed at Dar & Douce for a month. I highly recommend choosing this accommodation for your time in Seychelles. The hosts are so kind. The view is lovely. Imagine waking up to paradise everyday. The windows are large and perfect. The kitchen is ideal. You will feel comfortable and well-rested. The Indian Ocean is a short walking distance away. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The airport is nearby. This is the place you come to for self-care.

The rating should really be two parts: facilities and locale. The facilities were great! I was satisfied with them especially with the sea facing view from the balcony. The kitchen was more than adequate for cooking. The shower was a little odd but otherwise everything was fine. The location is a bit far from everything. Probably about 25 minute drive to Victoria. It also sits atop quite a steep hill. I was not prepared for that. The roads are very steep here and the roads can be narrow with rather deep gutters abutting each side. If you're an aware enough driver you'll be okay, but be prepared for that. The service offered by the owners is absolutely fantastic though. They'll help you find a rental car if needed and can offer plenty of suggestions for areas to visit. If you don't mind driving around the b roads until you hit the main roads and have a bit more privacy, then this is an excellent place to stay.
