The Fern Lodge is a small family owned property situated at L'Union in one of the most serene area of the island, surrounded by trees and plants of the garden. An array of facilities and services can be organised during your stay by our experience property hosts, which makes The Fern Lodge an experience of value on La Digue. Welcome to La Digue first of all and to the uniqueness of our Lodge. My sister leaves nearby the property and takes great care in your comfort during the stay. We like nature and all the islands has to offer and we are here to assist in making your stay memorable. Ferns strewn and Coconut trees dots the area more than locals of the place, allowing for a home feel in nature. The famous Anse Source D'Argent and Grand Anse Beach unfolds after 10-20 minutes respectively after stepping on the main road after the small alley from the lodge. Nearby Cafes like Rey and Josh, Gala, Zerof are easily accessible. Bicycle can be easily rented from the lodge. You may pick Carambola of the garden.

The lodge is beautiful, nestled in a large garden with a very convenient outdoor shower, a barbecue, and fruit trees. The interior spaces are well-maintained, the bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The outdoor space is lovely, with a table for dining and two small loungers, very comfortable on warm La Digue evenings! The owners are helpful and arranged bicycle rental for us quickly and at a favorable price. Cleaning was done regularly and meticulously. The area is very quiet, about 1.5 km from the center, but there are plenty of convenience stores and takeaways nearby.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Besitzer. Selby hat für uns eine Wanderung und einen Schnorchelausflug gebucht. Es war sehr interessant, sich mit ihm zu unterhalten und mehr über die Insel zu erfahren. Er war wirklich immer sehr freundlich und fair zu uns - ein richtiger Gentleman :-)

We had a wonderful time here. The whole family is incredibly friendly and helpful. We were especially overwhelmed by the surprise for my wife's 50th birthday. Fern Lodge is a cute and cosy self-catering lodge not far from the Source d'Argent beach. This is a very good option for its price. Shelby the owner is fantastic and incredibly helpful. He happily organized our bike rental. Arriving to our own bowl of locally grown fruit was a lovely present, especially the starfruit which came from the tree in the garden. The room is beautifully kept and is equipped with a desk, wardrobe, safe, TV and, of course, double bed, which was very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped in terms of plates, glasses, cooker, toaster, fridge etc. Like other self-catering places we stayed at the knives need a good sharpening. Also they need to get some proper forks, we had to eat with dessert forks. The only negatives, and I feel bad about mentioning them because they are out of Shelby's control, is that our sleep was interrupted both nights by the noises from the neighbourhood dogs and chickens. FYI, this is not uncommon on La Digue, we experienced it at the other place we stayed. Something I would recommend he do though is fix the window fitting to stop the occasional mosquito getting in.
