Gerard and his crew were just a delight. It was an absolute pleasure to stay amidst the garden overlooking the ocean. Make sure to book the big room as it has a spectacular view. Watch out for the cute dogs that will surely steal your heart. :) Highly recommended

Our stay at Secret Garden was an unforgettable experience, honestly felt like a movie. The room beautifully connected to nature which was a perfect getaway. Both breakfast and dinner were provided, and my favorite part was the delicious fruit platter. I can't wait to return (Gerard is the best!).

Amazing, unique place, located up on the hillside. Our room (Black Pearl) had the most spectacular view. Although steep to climb, the place is all worth it. We especially enjoyed the openness and fresh winds. We had some smaller geckos in our room, most other animals and insects stayed outside. Gerard and his team were great and also catered vegan food seemingly effortless. Although there were some communication problems about our arrival time, Gerard immediately organized the pick up for us and also bikes shortly after to go explore the island.

This place was just stunning. The view and out villa was just super, even if myself are super afraid of spiders it went super good. The breakfast and dinner is just top notch🤩 The staff really want you to have the best and feel welcoming. And yes, the walking up to the house is a bit of training, but well worth it.

The Secret Garden is such a special place! It’s tucked away on a hill on the far side of the island, with absolutely stunning views. We stayed in the two-bedroom which is open-air above the restaurant, and it felt amazing to sleep so close to nature. The beds even come with mosquito nets, so you can really relax. One thing to know: there are lots of chickens and roosters, and they start making noise very early (around 3–8 a.m.), so earplugs are a good idea. A few other tips: • The staff are kind but don’t speak much English, so things can get tricky if the owners aren’t around. • They don’t answer WhatsApp messages. • Free transport from the jetty is included, which is great since it’s a bit of a walk otherwise. • You can rent bikes for 150 SCR a day. Just ask at least an hour ahead, as it can take a little while to get them. • Taxes and bike rental need to be paid in cash. All in all, it’s a beautiful, peaceful spot—perfect if you’re looking for something unique and close to nature.

The master room Black Pearl the most spacious and generous room. It has its own private bathroom and an extraordinary view to the neighbouring islands. The spacious and open veranda lets you relax in nature while being covered by the handmade wooden roof.
Double
The Secret's Standard rooms are in the main building next to the restaurant. The two rooms have their own private bathroom and a double bed. The rock walls of the rooms cool them down even on hot days.
Triple
Sindbad the Sailor is located in the nearby house on the first floor. It offers you an amazing view over the east coast of La Digue. You can view the neighbouring islands of Felicity, Small and Big sister island and Cocos island perfectly. The room has an open design without windows and lets you relax on the big balcony. The interior design will remind you of a sailing boat with the bathroom being tiled with boat floor tiles even. Enjoy the breathtaking view with dragon fruits growing almost into your spacious room.
Triple
Built in harmony with nature you will find some natural granite rocks and palm trees inside the en-suite bathroom and on your veranda. The room is located in the separate house very close to the main house.
